Beer vending machine at Target Field

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (WKRC) -- Minnesota's Target Field is the first Major League Baseball stadium to roll out a self-serve beer station.

Customers 21 or older buy a $10 or $20 vendor card to scan at the machine.

They can withdraw up to 48 ounces, the equivalent of four cans of beer, every 15 minutes.

There will be an employee at the beer station to check I.D. and step in if someone appears to be intoxicated.

There is only one beer vending machine at Target Field now, but another is expected to open in time for the All-Star Game next week.
