Mayor's pick for city manager introduced

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- He's the man who will likely soon help run the city and Thursday Mayor John Cranley introduced his pick for city manager.
Harry Black comes to Cincinnati from Baltimore, where he was finance director.  Black said he wanted to put a 10 year financial plan in place here like he did there.

"I've had discussions with the mayor about this, to look at the opportunity to do something like this in Cincinnati.  A longer term view, a strategic view that helps us to maximize the resources we do have.  Not only filling budget shortfalls but also finding ways to reinvest back into the city," Black said.

Under Black's direction, Baltimore saw its credit rating increased.  City council will vote on his nomination next week.
