Driver suspected in fatal Whitewater crash in court

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Bond was set at $300,000 for a Cleves man accused of causing a fatal accident in Whitewater Township, then running off.

Scott Williams was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident. He was arraigned on Friday.

Police found the body of Jena Higgins in his wrecked car along Cilley Road in June. The car had hit two trees and a utility pole. According to court papers, Williams had a BAC of .121. Police say he was driving 90 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone.

Court papers said after Williams took off, he tried to report his car stolen. Williams was found hiding out in his mother's attic in Miami Township Thursday afternoon and was arrested.
