Gay blood drive to encourage policy change

CORRYVILLE, Ohio (WKRC) -- The Tri-State plays a part today in the first ever national gay blood drive.

It's an effort to change a 1983 policy preventing gay and bisexual men from donating.

Blood drives were held in 60 cities across the country, including Hoxworth at the University of Cincinnati. Many participants donated in honor of a family member who can't.
