Flooding along the Mississippi River

HANNIBAL, Mo. (WKRC) -- Residents along the Mississippi River are dealing with flooded homes and roads.

Severe storms rolled through Missouri bringing heavy rain.

Several bridges connecting Missouri and Illinois were closed due to the high water.

The river crested at almost 35 feet on Wednesday.

In Hannibal, north of Saint Louis, some residents even had to use boats to get around.

Officials say it could be several more days before the water recedes.
