Teen, father die in plane crash trying to fly around the world

INDIANA (WKRC) -- An Indiana father and son were killed trying to break a world record.

Babar and Haris Suleman's plane crashed into the pacific ocean last night shortly after taking off from American Somoa.

17-year-old Haris had hopes of being the youngest pilot to fly around the world.

And was using the trip to raise money for a non-profit that builds schools in Pakistan.

Investigators don't yet know why the plane went down.

Crews recovered Haris' body, but are still looking for his father's.

They left more than a month ago and planned to return home Sunday.
