Police believe downtown shootings a day apart are related

CINCINNATI (Perry Schaible) -- Police are investigating a pair of shootings that happened almost in the same spot in downtown Cincinnati just one day apart.

25-year-old Joshua Taylor was shot and killed on Monday night and police believe A memorial at Piatt Park for Taylor on Tuesday night broke out into the second shooting.

Six shots were fired during Tuesday's shooting and three people were hit.

Police believe there were multiple shooters. The three victims were taken to U.C. Medical Center.

Police are working to restore peace of mind to those who work and live in the downtown area. They said crime is down 11% downtown and down 21% in the city. They also said shootings are down 21%.
