Colerain firefighters battle difficult fire at home

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Downed power lines made it difficult for firefighters to battle a fire in Colerain Township Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to a fire in Colerain Township at Breezy Way near Acre Drive at 3:40 a.m. The fire started in a front living room and spread to the second floor. Firefighters say several additions and renovations to the home made the fire difficult to contain. It took more than an hour to get it under control. Live electrical wires were down in the front yard, making it dangerous for firefighters.

No one was home at the time. No one was hurt. Fire and smoke damage are extensive. Firefighters have not determined how it started or how much damage was done to the house.
