Grand opening ceremony for the MLB Urban Youth Academy

ROSELAWN, Ohio (Joe Webb) -- It's a brand new seven million dollar facility designed to teach baseball and softball to the next generation of ballplayers.

Officials cut the ribbon on August 22, 2014, on the Major League Baseball Urban Youth Academy on Seymour in Roselawn.

The seven million dollar complex features four fields, a 33,000 square-foot indoor training center. The complex will offer year-round training for kids five to 18-years-old free of charge. Outreach programs, training clinics and summer camps will be offered.

Kids can learn more than baseball and softball. There will be vocational training, tutors and lessons on life skills.

Frank Robinson and Joe Morgan are among the greats at the facility for the grand opening. It will be open at 6 p.m. for a party until 10 p.m. There will also be fireworks tonight.
