Commissioner race shuffle, Luken sticking to judge race

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Former Cincinnati Mayor Charlie Luken said he will run for probate court judge.
His name is among three that democrats have thought could take on Hamilton County commissioner Chris Monzel in November.  Sean Feeney currently holds the spot on the ballot and he said he was staying in the race.
Changing who would be the democratic candidate against Monzel has been a hot topic since Monzel authored a tax levy that would rehab Union Terminal but not Music Hall.

Feeney said, "Someone must stand up for our historical icons. And that person is me.  I've gotten a groundswell of support out of this.  A number of progressives have come out of the woodwork and will be supporting me going into the November election."

Any change has to be filed at the board of elections by the close of business Monday.
