Ohio River diesel spill cleanup complete

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The diesel fuel spill cleanup on the Ohio River is basically complete.

The EPA says now all that's left is monitoring the river and fish and wildlife to make sure they didn't miss anything or that there aren't any lingering problems.

Late Monday, August 18, 2014, night, 5,000 gallons of diesel fuel spilled into the river at the Beckjord power plant outside New Richmond.

Duke Energy is accepting responsibility.
