Mom creates app that turns off son's phone

HOUSTON (WKRC) -- For parents of teenagers, not knowing where your child is can be frustrating, even frightening. Giving them a cell phone doesn't always mean they'll answer.

That's why a Texas mom invented an app that her kids -- and yours -- can't ignore. It's called "Ignore No More".

When Sharon Standifird's son doesn't answer her call, she uses the app to lock his phone. It's easy. She touches the app and taps his name. On her son's end, a list of parent-selected contacts comes up. He must call her to get the password to unlock the phone.

The "Ignore No More" app is only available for Android phones on Google Play. It costs $1.99.
