Fired OSU band director speaks out

COLUMBUS (WKRC) -- The Ohio State band director that was fired for allowing a sexualized culture spoke to WSYX in Columbus Tuesday night.

Jon Waters says he wants his job back.
Waters says the university based his firing on a flawed and inaccurate report of what was going within the unit.

The alleged culture included students marching in their underwear and performing sexually themed stunts to get explicit nicknames.
"It's flawed because the complainant named the witnesses and the witnesses were only 4 of 240 members. And 4 additional of an alumni population of 4,000. I feel like from it's inception the report really aimed to take down the band."

Waters says he wants to clear his name and clear the reputation of band members past and present.
