911 calls released from Wal-Mart shooting

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WKRC) -- Audio tapes were released of the 911 calls made inside the Wal-Mart where a Fairfield man was shot and killed by police earlier.

It happened Tuesday, August 5.

The calls said, "Is there a place we can get to the outside? We need to get to the outside. Get to the outside."

A worker from the pharmacy called, "We work in the pharmacy and we put down the gates and we locked ourselves in the bathroom inside the pharmacy."

Officers said John Crawford was waving what turned out to be an air rifle.  He would not put it down when ordered to do so.  That was when police said they were forced to shoot him.
