Three Hamilton homes raided for drugs

HAMILTON, Ohio (Rich Jaffe) -- Butler County's sheriff said his deputies took five people into custody during three simultaneous drug raids early Friday morning on August 22nd, 2014.

At about 5 a.m., investigators served search warrants at a home on Washington Street and two apartments in a building on Gordon Smith Boulevard in Hamilton.

Sheriff Jones said his deputies seized 250 capsules loaded with heroin, drug paraphernalia, a 9mm handgun, $5,000 in cash and four vehicles, including a BMW.

Sgt. Melissa Gerhardt told Local 12, "Most of the capsules can be bought at any drug store.  There's no tracking done on the capsules when you go in to purchase them.  It's like if you were a diabetic and you can go in and get syringes because you need them, it's kinda the same thing.  You can buy these capsules at just about any CVS or Walgreens."

Adam Weber, Khaleim Waver, Nekisha Waver-Elliot, Shana Panetta and William Lindsay were taken into custody.  Shana was the girlfriend of Wiliam Lindsay while Nekisha Waver-Elliot is siblings with Khaleim Waver.  Khaleim said he was a rap star, he has videos on YouTube.  Nekisha was listed as the CEO of the production company, "Flat Line Entertainment."  Investigators said what they really were was another couple of mid-level drug dealers.

Adam, Khaleim, Shana and William were arrested and face drug and weapons charges.  Sheriff Jones said their cases will be presented to a grand jury.  Nekisha was taken into custody and questioned but released the same day.  Sheriff Jones told Local 12 they hope to present evidence on her to a grand jury for consideration.
