State shuts down Mahogany's over unpaid taxes

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A local restaurant with a history of financial troubles has been closed.
A sign was on the front door of Mahogany's at The Banks Tuesday, August 26th, 2014.  The Ohio Department of Taxation shut down the restaurant for failing to pay sales taxes.
The department filed five sales tax liens against the restaurant Monday, August 18.  The restaurant, which was owned by Liz Rogers, owes about $40,000 in sales tax.
Mahogany's faced eviction earlier in 2014 because it defaulted on its lease but did eventually pay off its back rent.
