Deputies: Anderson girl made up abduction story

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) -- Hamilton County sheriff's investigators say the Anderson Township girl, who claimed to have been abducted from her Anderson Township apartment complex, made it all up.

The girl, who is a juvenile, is now charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle. Investigators say she took her grandmother's car without permission and made up the story to cover it up.

She told investigators she was abducted on Pembridge Drive at 1:15 a.m. Monday morning.   A few hours later, she says she was dropped off on Craig Road near Mount Carmel Road in Union Township where it took her hours to find a phone to call for help.

The girl has been taken to juvenile detention. Deputies are still considering charging her with filing a false report.
