Interfaith church service held in support of same-sex marriages

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Wednesday could be a historic day for same-sex marriage in Ohio.

The U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals will hear two landmark cases that seek recognition for legal marriages of same-sex couples.

In anticipation, and to build support for marriage equality, a group called Why Marriage Matters Ohio hosted an interfaith service Sunday afternoon at the Christ Episcopal Church in downtown Cincinnati.

A large rally in support of marriage equality is also planned for Tuesday evening in Lytle Park also in downtown Cincinnati.
