Museum Center board backing sales tax levy

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The Museum Center's board of trustees will support a sales tax levy on the November 2014 ballot.
Hamilton County commissioners voted to put a five year, quarter-cent sales tax proposal before the voters.  This was done over the objections of a committee that wanted the money to go to both Union Terminal and Music Hall.

That committee said breaking Music Hall off from the levy would jeopardize historic grants that were being committed for both buildings.  If it passes, the money will go to repairing Union Terminal but not Music Hall.
The Museum Center will detail why it supports the levy at a news conference Friday morning, August 29.
