University of Cincinnati announces renovations
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The University of Cincinnati announced major changes to make room for more students.
Plans called for $35 million to renovate Scioto Hall. The building would have apartments with room for 450 beds.
UC also plans changes on its medical campus. Wherry Hall will be torn down to make way for a new building that will house the College of Applied Health Sciences. The new building will be almost double the size of Wherry Hall.
Work is due to start on that in the summer of 2017. UC officials hope work on Scioto Hall will be finished by the fall of 2016.
