Former Kroger CEO calls pay "ludicrous"

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A man who used to run Kroger said the company paid him too much.

Former CEO David Dillon made headlines and has social media talking about his take on soaring executive pay.  Dillon spoke at a conference in Aspen.
He called his eight-figure paycheck "ludicrous."  Dillon said his compensation wasn't out of control when he started but it ballooned as Kroger stock prices soared.
In 2013 Dillon made $13 million.
That was still in the bottom 25 percent of CEO pay among big companies.
