State of emergency issued on drinking water in northwestern Ohio
TOLEDO, Ohio (WKRC) -- Gov. John Kasich declared a state of emergency in nothwestern Ohio Saturday where 400,000 people in the Toledo area are being warned not to drink the water.
This comes after tests revealed the presence of a toxin in the tap water, possibly from algae on Lake Erie.
So far, no one has reported getting sick.
The emergency declaration will allow the state to start bringing in water to the area where most stores have run out of bottled water.
