Jail brawl leaves one man in critical condition

CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- Two local inmates could face serious charges after a fight at the Clermont County jail.

Sheriff AJ Rodenberg said two inmates assaulted another inmate Sunday, August 10th, 2014 around noon.  33-year-old Kenneth McFarland suffered injuries to his face and head after an argument with two other inmates, Samuel Levy and Derick Minton.  Levy and Minton have been accused of assaulting McFarland.

Rescuers flew McFarland by AirCare to University Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. 

Levy was in jailed for burglaries and aggravated robbery.  Minton was in jail on theft charges.  Deputies booked McFarland into the jail Friday, August 8 on charges of possession of drug abuse instruments, child support license forfeiture and driving under suspension.

The Clermont County prosecutor reviewed the incident.  The grand jury will consider criminal charges.
