Two Cincinnati Botulism cases linked to sauce

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Sauces tainted with botulism send two people in the tri-state to the hospital.
The Cincinnati Health Department said both patients have confirmed cases.  Local 12 was told both victims were in their 20's and their conditions were improving.

A pesto sauce that was part of a nationwide recall seemed to be the cause.  A warning went out last week not to eat "VR Green Farms" sauces from jars because of possible contamination.
Botulism is a rare and serious illness with only 145 cases reported in the U.S. each year.
