Covington Schools employee arrested on drug trafficking charge

COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) -- A Covington Schools employee was arrested at Holmes Middle School and appeared in court Wednesday morning.

26-year-old Quincey Tyus is charged with drug trafficking. The DEA has been to Holmes twice since August 13 as part of a broader investigation. Officials say that's how they were alerted to Tyus, but he is not believed to be part of the other investigation.

Kentucky State Police only arrested Tyus at the school because they knew that's where they could find him. Investigators don't think he was selling drugs at the school or to students.

The DEA has not released any information about their broader drug investigation.
