Health Alert: 'Shop and Dine' event

CINCINNATI (Liz Bonis) -- Screenings for heart disease and breast cancer will be available Thursday, August 7, for women at the Crestview Hills Town Center.

The team from Saint Elizabeth Healthcare said the screenings were part of an event called, 'Shop and Dine.'  Vouchers will be available to present to supporting stores and restaurants and a part of the proceeds from what will be spent will go to the Saint Elizabeth Foundation.

The foundation helps support the Mobil Mammography Unit and the Cardiovascular Mobile Health Unit.  The Cardiovascular Mobile Unit offers a variety of low cost heart tests including one that calculates cardiac age risk assessment.

Jeanie Foley from 'Shop and Dine' said, "It's a finger stick glucose and lipid panel and we take into consideration your height, weight, BMI, if you are a diabetic or smoker.  And it calculates out your actual cardiac risk, and it should be the same age or younger than you are.  And the nice thing is that it actually gives you bullet points of what you can improve."

'Shop and Dine' will happen August 7 all day at the Crestview Hills Town Center.  The mobile units will be there from 1p.m. to 7p.m.
