Woman who suffered stroke while in Africa going home

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The teacher who was flown home to the tri-state after suffering a stroke in Africa left rehab for home.

Terri Kersey will go home the weekend of August 22nd, 2014.  Kersey went to Tanzania in mid-July to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.  The day after the climb she had a stroke.
It took a week of working with Kersey's insurance company to get a medical transport plane to bring her home.  Kersey's family members said she was walking with a cane and her speech was improving.
Kersey's therapy will continue after she leaves rehab.
