TV Schedule Announced for First Three UK Football Games

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Southeastern Conference has announced the early season television schedule for the first three weeks of the 2013 college football season, with the University of Kentucky football team to play two games on the ESPN Family of Networks and one on Fox Sports Network, it was announced Tuesday.

Kentucky will start the season with a 7 p.m. ET kickoff against WKU at LP Field in Nashville on ESPNews, while its home opener against Miami (Ohio) on Saturday, Sept. 7 will be at Noon ET on Fox Sports Network. The Wildcats lead the all-time series 3-1 against WKU, including a 1-0 record in games played at LP Field. UK and Miami (Ohio) have met 12 times in school history with the Wildcats claiming a 7-4-1 series lead.

The Wildcats will continue non-conference play on Saturday, Sept. 14 against Louisville as it plays host to the in-state foe with a Noon ET start on ESPN. It will mark the 26th meeting between the intrastate rivals, the 20th matchup since the teams renewed its rivalry in 1994. UK leads the overall series 14-11, including an 8-7 advantage in Lexington.
