Votto, Phillips Still Lead All-Star Voting

1B Joey Votto and 2B Brandon Phillips lead the National League in All-Star Game votes at their positions.

Votto is trying to become the first Reds player to earn consecutive fan-elected starts since Hall of Fame SS Barry Larkin (1999-2000).

Phillips is trying to become the first Reds second baseman to be voted an All-Star Game start since Joe Morgan did it in 7 consecutive seasons from 1972-78
.

Together, Votto and Phillips are trying to become only the fifth set of teammates to earn fan-elected starts at first base and second base (LAD's Steve Garvey & Davey Lopes in 1979-1980, Phi's Pete Rose & Manny Trillo in 1982, Hou's Jeff Bagwell & Craig Biggio in 1997 and Mil's Prince Fielder & Rickie Weeks in 2011).
