Joe Morgan Statue Dedication: At 10 a.m. a bronze statue of Joe Morgan will be unveiled and dedicated outside Great American Ball Park during a public ceremony. Joining Joe at the ceremony will be family, friends, fellow Reds Hall of Famers and teammates including the Great Eight from the Big Red Machine. The statue was commissioned by the Reds Hall of Fame and sculpted by local artist Tom Tsuchiya, who designed the five sculptures that currently reside at the ballpark: Johnny Bench, Ted Kluszewski, Ernie Lombardi, Joe Nuxhall and Frank Robinson. Located at the corner of Joe Nuxhall Way and Johnny Bench Way, the statue captures Joes explosive movement as he breaks toward second base. Joe holds the modern club record for stolen bases at 406 and stole 689 during his career.
Joe Morgan Press Conference: At 11:15 a.m. Joe Morgan will be available to the media in the Field Level Media Interview Room.
Pregame ceremonies: At 12:20 p.m. Joe Morgan Day pregame ceremonies and on-field introductions of the Great Eight are scheduled to begin and will culminate in a first pitch by the Hall of Fame second baseman.
