Cyclones Add Rookie Forward Dan Delisle
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Dan Delisle for the 2013-14 season.
Delisle, a 2009 third round selection (89th overall) of the Chicago Blackhawks, will embark on his rookie campaign after completing a four-year career at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. While in school, the six-foot-five-inch, 230-pound forward totaled 16 points (9 goals, 7 assists) in 102 career games and helped lead the Bulldogs to the NCAA Championship in 2010-11. In the same season, Delisle was named to the WCHA All-Academic Team.
"Dan is a large forward who is looking to get his pro career started," said Cyclones Head Coach Ben Simon. "I've seen him in various rookie camps over the last couple of years and I've liked what I seen. He will be looked upon to be a physical presence and someone who can help create space for his line mates."
The countdown to the 2013 First Face-Off is nearly complete! The Cyclones open the season at U.S. Bank Arena against the Wheeling Nailers on Saturday, October 19 at 7:30pm.
