Bengals sign Boley
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The Bengals have signed free agent LB Michael Boley, a ninth-year NFL player. Boley (6-3, 230; Southern Mississippi) played four seasons (2008-12) for the New York Giants after spending four years (2005-08) with the Atlanta Falcons. He has 121 career NFL games played, with 102 starts, and he has played and started five postseason games. He played 16 games for the Giants last season, with 11 starts, and finished fourth on the team in tackles (84) while leading the team in tackles-for-loss (14). He was third on the team in interceptions (three) and had two fumble recoveries. His career totals include 9.5 sacks, eight INTs, eight forced fumbles, eight fumble recoveries and 40 passes defensed. He entered the NFL with Atlanta as a fifth-round draft choice and went to the Giants as an unrestricted free agent. He was released by the Giants on Feb. 5 of this year and has not previously been with an NFL club this season.
The team also waived CB Curtis Marsh, a third-year player from Utah State. Marsh signed with Cincinnati as a free agent on Sept. 18 and played in the last two games (no statistics).
