Yankees Interested in Choo?
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Although both sides say they would like to continue the relationship, it may be one and done for the Reds and Shin-Soo Choo.
The talented outfielder will have plenty of suitors and the Yankees reportedly have interest. CBS Sports Baseball Insider Jon Heyman reports that the Bronx Bombers plan a spending spree that could exceed $300 million. Choo could replace Curtis Granderson in right field.
Choo had a career-high .423 on-base percentage last season, good for second best in the NL behind teammate Joey Votto. He hit .285 with 21 HR, 54 Rbi and 20 SB.
Heyman also speculates that the Mets, Astros, Rangers, Cubs, Mariners and Phillies are also interested.
