Report: Skip Schumaker signs two-year contract with Reds

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Ken Rosenthal of is reporting that Skip Schumaker has agreed to a two-year contract with the Reds, pending a physical.

The 33-year-old spent time with the Cardinals and hit .263 with two homers in 125 games for the Dodgers last season. Schumaker played second base and all three outfield positions this past season and in nine seasons has a career .285 avg and .344 OBP.

Walt Jocketty was general manager of the Cardinals when they drafted Schumaker in 2001.
