Homer Bailey, Reds GM Jocketty talk about negotiations
GOODYEAR, Arizona (Mike Berk) -- It appears the Reds and Homer Bailey are close to a deal that would keep him with the team. If they don't work it out by Thursday, they'll have to go to arbitration.
The deal is thought to be worth about $100 million over six years. Bailey worked out with the other pitchers and catchers, while his agent hammered out details.
Both Bailey and General Manager Walt Jocketty talked to Mike Berk about Bailey's role on the team.
