Reds make final transactions before Opening Day

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Opening Day is less than 24 hours away, and the Cincinnati Reds have made the necessary moves to trim their roster to 25, in addition to placing several members of the team on various disabled lists. The Reds moves are as follows (courtesy of the Cincinnati Reds):

3/30, placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to 3/21, LHP Aroldis Chapman, RHP Mat Latos, LHP Sean Marshall and C Devin Mesoraco; placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to 3/22, RHP Jonathan Broxton and IF/OF Skip Schumaker; placed on the 60-day disabled list IF Jack Hannahan and RHP Brett Marshall; designated for assignment RHP Pedro Beato; reassigned to Louisville OF Jason Bourgeois, RHP Jumbo Diaz, LHP Jeff Francis, C Corky Miller and IF/OF Kristopher Negron; recalled C Tucker Barnhart and RHP Curtis Partch; selected the contracts of RHP Trevor Bell, OF Roger Bernadina and IF Ramon Santiago.
