Cyclones receive Lewis, Shaw, Megan and Madore from San Antonio
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that forwards Trevor Lewis, Wade Megan, Logan Shaw, and Rob Madorehave been assigned by the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.
Lewis, a second-year pro, will embark on his second postseason with the Cyclones. During the regular season, he collected 30 points (12g, 18a) in 47 games for Cincinnati along with a trio of assists in 13 AHL games with the Rampage. A year ago, the Lititz, Pennsylvania native earned 13 tallies (3g, 10a) in 12 Kelly Cup Playoff contests.
Megan, a Florida Panthers fifth round pick in 2009, returns to the Queen City after spending the bulk of his rookie season in San Antonio. He began his pro career with the Cyclones this past fall and posted 20 points (13g, 7a) in 16 games. The Canton, New York native was named the ECHL Player of the Week for Oct. 28-Nov. 3 and named runner-up for ECHL Rookie of the Month for October. In the AHL this year, Megan contributed 16 points (11g, 6a) in 43 games.
Shaw, a 21-year-old, will also be playing in his first professional playoff campaign. In 20 games for the Cyclones, he notched 18 points (8g, 10a) along with a 5 rating. A Florida Panthers third round draft pick in 2011, Shaw was promoted to the AHL in late December and remained in San Antonio for the remainder of Cincinnati's regular season slate. With the Rampage, he earned eight points (1g, 7a) in 43 tilts.
Madore, a 25-year-old Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native, comes back to Cincinnati after another short AHL stint with the Rampage. In all, Madore has received six AHL promotions this season amidst a year where he went 17-12-1 for the Cyclones with a 2.73 goals-against average. With San Antonio, he logged seven appearances and earned a 1-3-1 mark with a 3.25 GAA.
