Cincinnati Reds Name New Manager

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The Cincinnati Reds have named their new manager on Oct. 21, 2013.

Pitching coach, Bryan Price, who came to the Reds in 2010 will replace Dusty Baker as the team Manager.

Price was a leader in the running because of what he has done for the Reds organization in his four years as pitching coach.  He has taken the pitching team from 12th, to 7th, to 4th, to third in the National League.

What Price has done has been remarkable because players that he has used have continued to improve.  He has never been a manager in the Major Leagues but he spent ten years before coming to the Reds as a pitching coach for the Seattle Mariners (6 years) and the Arizona Diamondbacks (4 years).
