Remembering the deadly March 2, 2012 tornado outbreak
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Thursday marks 5 years since the deadliest single severe day in the Tri-State since official records began in 1950.
Three tornadoes that occurred on March 2, 2012, were confirmed by the National Weather Service with a rating of EF3, or higher. This marked the first time since the "Super Outbreak" of April 3, 1974, that at least three major tornadoes were confirmed in the Tri-State on the same day.
Nine tornadoes were confirmed in the Tri-State on March 2nd, 2012, and 10 people were killed by the tornadoes or in the days and weeks to follow as a result of their injuries.
We remember those who were injured, killed or suffered damage from the deadly tornadoes that affected the Tri-State 5 years ago.
