MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WKRC) - Students who attend Middletown City Schools will have to wear a face mask in class.
School Superintendent Marlon Styles Jr. announced the change in protocol Monday. He's basing his change on information received from Gov. Mike DeWine.
The district will have masks for students and staff if they need them. Staff will also wear face shields.
Desktops, doorknobs and other common surfaces will be sanitized throughout the day. Students will be encouraged to wash their hands throughout the day as well.
"We are working on getting gallons of...of hand sanitizer. We will be providing these at every single classroom throughout the school district," Styles said.
There will also be plexiglass barriers set up for teachers to use in small group settings.
