If you’re looking for adventure with your pup, Discover Clermont put together a fur-friendly trail that’s an easy way to explore different parts of the county. The Clermont County Tail Trail currently consists of over a dozen places to visit ranging from parks to patios and more. It will then invite you to your mobile passport that outlines each of the participating locations and their addresses. When you visit one of the listed spots, select “check-in” on the website to let it validate your location. As one of the biggest parks in Ohio, East Fork State Park offers lots of room to roam. The park features the 2,160-acre William H. Harsha Lake with ample water recreation activities, camping, miles of hiking, and pet-friendly campsites. If you’ve been wanting to bring Fido to a winery with you, now’s your chance. Harmony Hill Vineyards & Estate Winery was listed in American Winery Guide’s ‘Most Dog-Friendly Wineries’. The boutique winery features a picturesque setting with flower gardens and manicured grounds in addition to their underground wine cave—one of only eight in the country. Although this particular photo wasn’t taken at Chilo Lock 34 Park, the small park is certainly worth checking out with the pup. Fun fact: a sea lion was once caught in the Ohio River at the former U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lock and dam. While the visitor center and museum on-site are currently closed, there’s an open playground, walking path, and hiking trails to explore (maybe you'll find a rogue sea lion…). Need a taproom stop? Little Miami Brewing Company is a seven-barrel brewery that offers brick oven pizzas to pair with your craft beer. You’ll find it along the Little Miami River and Bike Trail at the edge of Old Milford. Or maybe an ice cream stop is more your speed. The Old Milford Parlor has dessert handled with espresso-infused ice cream, creamy whip specials, and more. Located along the Little Miami River, the 42-acre Kelley Nature Preserve has hiking trails, canoe and kayak rentals, and plenty of wildlife to enjoy. Pups will love hunting for the perfect wildflower in the preserve’s meadow. Roads Rivers and Trails is a family-owned shop that sells specialty outdoor gear for you and the dog to be paw-pared for your next adventure. Stonelick State Park has over 1,000 acres of woodlands and water, with several trails and public beach spots to hound around. The lake permits motorboats, kayaks, canoes, paddle boarding, and fishing boats. There are also campsites on the property if you’re looking to stay the night.
