Be Bold for Change: Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association helps women connect
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - You are invited to join hundreds of women and learn more about healthcare, business and mentoring.
The Healthcare Businesswomen's Association is a global nonprofit organization.
They are made up of both individuals and organizations that say they are committed to helping women in healthcare connect to other women in a number of ways.
“Our industry, the healthcare industry is undergoing so many changes right now, and there's never been a better time, and we need all women to be the best that they can be,” said Deborah Schnell of the HBA.
Next week HBA is holding its annual networking and education conference. You're invited to join others as you see here who are inspiring to other women.
It's an early evening of speakers and motivation to be bold for change. This year’s goal especially is to encourage mentoring.
“You know, if you ask men in their careers, ‘did you have a mentor?’ Almost universally they say yes, but that's not really been true for women and so it's all about connecting them with other women, and also getting women who are leaders to connect with younger women to make them better and to help them with their careers,” said Schnell.
Schnell says the organization has an organized mentoring program which lasts eight months. They mentor in groups of six.
The conference Monday is at the Cooper Event Center. You can still attend and if you want more information you can follow this link.
