CINCINNATI (WKRC) – There’s a big push to bring complimentary medicine to those who might not ever get it.
The team at the Center for Integrative Health and the UC College of Medicine got a special grant on Friday.
The Sanghvi Family donated $40,000 for a pilot program that’s designed to help people who otherwise could not afford to pay for training to learn better ways to use the mind to reduce stress.
On Friday morning at the Queen City Club, part of the team receiving that grant held a special education program.
The grant will allow them to provide training for everything from meditation to nutrition to help people who have both acute and long-term health problems to those who are underserved in our community.
The family that provided the grant says they wanted to share this training with everyone, not just those who can afford to pay for it.
The Integrative Medicine Center has a mission of improving the health and wellness of all populations in the local community.
