Gas prices on the rise as summer driving season begins
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Gas prices are up to levels not seen in more than three years, according to CBS News.
Gas prices have gone up a nickle in the past week and 20 cents in the past month.
The national average is $2.87 while drivers in Hawaii and California are paying close to $3.70.
"There are 10 states that are at $3 a gallon or above," AAA's Robert Sinclair told CBS News. Sinclair also called the current cost of gasoline "the pain point for many drivers."
AAA has published a report saying it expects the increase in gas prices to taper off.
