HOLLYWOOD (CNN/CNN Newsource/WKRC) - Pop music legends ABBA celebrated a milestone anniversary with a new release.
The Swedish group's debut album, "Ring, Ring," which originally released in March of 1973, has been repressed in a 50th anniversary double LP edition, which has been remastered at Abbey Road Studios.
The band rose to prominence in America during the disco fever of the 1970s. They were famously comprised of two married couples. Agnetha and Björn were married in 1971, and a year later, ABBA was formed. Benny and Frida were married in 1978. The relationships didn't last, however, and in 1980, Agnetha and Björn divorced. Benny and Frida divorced only a year later, and in 1983 ABBA split apart. It wasn't until 2016 that the group decided to reunite at a private gala in Sweden.
The band is known for several generation-defining hits, which include "Mamma Mia," "Dancing Queen," and "Take a Chance on Me."
