Local fashionista makes name for herself on Project Runway Junior

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A local fashionista is making a name for herself on reality television.

You can watch 14-year-old Allie Lunt on the new season of Project Runway Junior on Thursday night.

Allie is just 14-years-old, but mature beyond her years and you can see that in her sewing. She's very precise and very technical.

Her mom Sarah thinks that what made her stand out to producers casting the second season of Project runway junior.

Allie has been sewing since she was just 9-years-old.

Now she's putting the skills she's developed to the test on the quickfire challenges created by producers of the show.

For instance, on one episode, the twelve contestants had to use unconventional materials from the pool.

On another, they had to create avant-garde clothing.

Both were challenges that forced Allie to think quickly, creatively, and outside of the box.

Quite a challenge for the 14-year-old freshmen at CinDay academy in Springboro.

Regardless of how it goes, Allie says she had a blast.

"Just the friendships that you make. It's just so cool to get to meet other designers who share the same interests as you and getting to do what I love. I mean, I love to sew and getting to go on the show and do that is just so cool,” said Allie.

Allie can't say anything about what happened this season on Project Runway Junior so there’s no way of knowing how far she went, but you can find out by watching.

The fourth episode of the season airs Thursday night at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
