CCJO celebrates 10 years with new release and a performance

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra's "Suite for the New Year" is the centerpiece of its new CD, which will be released on Nov. 17 at the Redmoor.

Artistic director Eric Lechliter and the band's best friend, singer Mandy Gaines, who is also featured on the album talk about the new release and a celebration of the CCJO's 10-year anniversary Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Redmoor on Mt. Lookout Square. You can also get your copy of their recording there.

And, if smaller groups are more your thing, check out "The Birth of the Cool" on Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church in Avondale.
