CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Jazz lovers undoubtedly know the name Cannonball Adderley. He was one of the greatest alto saxophonists in history and made a name for himself with his bluesy sound through most of the 60's. The Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra will pay tribute to Cannonball Adderley's music March 21 with the first of two concerts featuring Charlie Young. Charlie leads the Duke Ellington Orchestra and is the artistic director of the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra in Washington, D.C. and performed on Good Morning Cincinnati along with pianist Phil Degreg.
