12th Street Shuffle: New bar crawl benefits local nonprofit
PENDLETON, Ohio (WKRC) - This weekend, you can grab a beer and give back.
Several bars and breweries are part of the first ever 12th Street Shuffle, a bar crawl that will help out a local nonprofit. 3 Points Urban Brewery, MadTree Brewing and West Side Brewing teamed up to raise funds for Give Back Cincinnati.
The bar crawl will take place Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at participating bars from Pendleton to Over-the-Rhine, starting at the recently-opened 3 Points.
One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to Give Back Cincinnati.
West Side Brewing director of sales Zach Heeney said the 12th Street Shuffle is all about establishing a sense of community and social responsibility. Dan Shatto, MadTree Brewing's director of sales, says volunteering is very important to the them and the community, so teaming up for this event was a no-brainer.
Give Back Cincinnati's president Michael Loch says he's excited for the chance to experiment with the annual fundraisers and looks forward to working with Cincinnati's young-professional crowd with this new opportunity.
Nation Kitchen & Bar, Boomtown Biscuits & Whiskey, Lucius Q, Rosedale OTR, Rhinehaus, Taste of Belgium, Vestry at the Transept and Queen City Radio are all taking part in the 12th Street Shuffle.
