6-month-old dies from injuries suffered in Winton Terrace crash
WINTON TERRACE, Ohio (WKRC) - A 6-month-old girl has died from injuries suffered in a crash in Winton Terrace Thursday.
She was being treated at Children's hospital when she died around 5:25 p.m. on Saturday, according to police.
The baby girl was one of six people in a vehicle that slammed into a tree.
The first officer on the scene Thursday revived the 6-month-old by performing CPR and the baby was rushed to the hospital.
The driver, a 22-year-old male, lost control of his Nissan Altima while traveling south on Winton Ridge Lane and turning east onto Dutch Colony Road. He ran off the right side of the roadway and hit a tree. He was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with serious injuries and is listed in stable condition.
The front seat passenger, a 21-year-old female, had to be freed from the vehicle. She was taken to UC Medical Center with minor injuries and is listed in stable condition.
There was one adult, a 24-year-old female, and three kids in the back of the car, including the 6-month-old girl.
The woman was transported to Children's hospital with serious injuries and is listed in stable condition.
A 7-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl suffered minor injuries and were transported to Children's Hospital. They are listed in stable condition.
No one in the car was wearing a seatbelt.
Excessive speed does not appear to be a factor in this crash.
It's unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor.
